Jeep FAQ How-To Articles Quick Reference Product Reviews My Buildup Random Home |
I decided to start keeping the Jeep covered while it's in the garage. So I picked up a Quadratec Softbond 5-Layer Car Cover. This came with a bag for storage, nylon cord, steel security cable (with lock), and an antenna grommet. My cover did arrive with one of the grommets broken. It fell out of the bag when I removed it. That being said I won't be using them, so I don't really care. Also speaking from personal experience, Quadratec's customer service is top notch, so I have no doubts they would take care of it. Also worth noting these grommets are in pockets, so they can't touch your paint. The material is similar to most of the car covers I've seen and used before. To be fair though I've usually bought the cheaper and thinner covers. This one being the 5-layer it is much thicker. The thicker material almost makes it a bit difficult to deal with honestly. I actually gave up trying to put this on myself. Having a second person made a world of difference. I will admit this will probably calm down some once it's not new and has softened up some. As for sizing this fits very nicely. My Jeep has extended fender flares, and hi-lift jack on the hood. It still covered all this perfectly. I do not have a spare tire on the rear, so I can not speak to this. Quadratec makes different versions of these covers (Other models, and thinner versions). I'm pretty impressed with this cover. It's priced well, it's good quality, it fits well. Absolutely recommend this one.
