Can I wheel my Dana 35?
The Dana35 is a notoriously weak axle, no getting around it. Odds are very high that you will eventually break it if you wheel it long enough. That being said, don't let that keep you from enjoying your Jeep. We all started out wheeling our Dana 35s running 33" tires. Its still recommended that you avoid putting money into the Dana 35. Running alloy shafts will pretty ensure when something breaks, its a ring and pinion, or carrier, or spiders, the axle just isn't strong enough to handle oversized tires. Spare stock shafts are never a bad idea, typically I try and make sure at least one person in our group is carrying spare Dana35 shafts. Its a Jeep enjoy it, when it breaks upgrade.
