Stainless vs. Rubber Brake Hoses -
The stainless steel braided hoses are still rubber hoses, they just have a steel braiding on the outside. Any rubber hose will swell under pressure; this not only reduces the life of the hose but also gives you a softer feel in the brake pedal. The steel braiding on the brakes hoses keep the hose from swelling, which will give you a firmer feeling pedal. The stainless braid will also keep the hose from kinking when bent sharply. The stainless braid also will protect the hoses from anything that may rub them.
