All you need is a winch and a winch mounting plate. No special bumper is needed, with one exception; some aftermarket bumpers (mostly double tube bumpers) have interference issues with some winch plates. The winch plate bolts to the frame, the winch bolts to the plate, and then you take two cables to your battery, one positive, and one negative.
