Problems Shifting into Reverse -
Reverse is a non-synchronized gear, and is straight cut, rather than be hellically cut. The straight cut is the reason reverse whines. Being non-synchronized, reverse will grind if anything is spinning inside the transmission. Easiest thing to do is to shift into another gear, such as 4th gear, then shift into reverse, this will bring everything inside to a stop, and stop the grinding while trying to shift into reverse.
